Katchang - The Gambia
5500 hectare for arable and dairy

The smiling coast of Africa, the Gambia is also called. In this stable and peaceful country we have a beautiful agricultural area to offer. It consists of a total of 5500 hectares of flat farmland with hardly any stones in the ground. With rivers around the region, for a good water supply. We have successfully drilled test holes for water sources for irrigation in 8 places.

The (sea) climate of The Gambia is excellent.

Throughout the year it fluctuates between 24 and 34 degrees. And there are two rainy seasons in which it rains more than enough to save on irrigation.


The beautiful dark sandy soil and the light clay soil along the rivers are very suitable for both arable farming and livestock farming. Our connections with the authorities and with the local population are very good.

The very friendly people of the Katchang region are very willing to help you where possible.

They are religious people, but not a strict Muslim faith. There are Christians, Catholics and Muslim believers. And these people live very peacefully together.

They are people who like to learn and certainly want to work.


The towns of Serrekunda and the capital Banjul are real tourist places. Especially Serrekunda has beautiful hotels, restaurants, shopping areas and many beautiful holiday resorts. Very many Dutch, Belgians, Germans, Danes, Swedes and English go on holiday there every year. All potential buyers of your farm in Katchang!


The accessibility of The Gambia is excellent.

There is a modern (new) airport where the large planes land, with its own cargo area. It's just 6 hours to fly from Amsterdam, and 5 hours from Frankfurt.

And the port of Banjul is also suitable for all import and export of containers and bulk material.

The metropolis and port of Dakar is also nearby.

The language of instruction is English.
All people from children to elder speak perfect English.


The Gambia is really a fairly modern country, with of course indigenous still the authentic villages. But above all it is a very beautiful and peaceful country with very sincere friendly people. A country where you and your family can grow up on a beautiful farm. You will be much appreciated. The location is suitable for several farms, several families.
